The grandson of PAUL SHELDON is sitting infront of the empty typewriter wearing a dark suit.Somebody walks into the room.MANIt’s almost time Richard.RICHARDPlease give me one minute.CUT TO:

INT. PAUL SHELDON’S FUNERAL

A sparkling red sphere is shown. As the camera zooms out itis the center of cross on the front of a church podium.CUT TO:It appears to be cherry wood like a polished hardwoodfloor. As the camera moves up you see a cross engraved onit.A picture, a headshot of PAUL SHELDON with his “OLIVETTI”TYPEWRITER in front of the coffin.CUT TO:

INT. OUTSIDE THE CHURCH

People are walking one by one out the door of the church.You see RICHARD SHELDON putting his grandfather’s“OLIVETTI” TYPEWRITER into his car.A women walks up to him, it is SHELDON’S daughter.

MARY SHELDONRichard what are you going to do?RICHARDGo and write I figured that’s what your dad would havewanted.MARYWhere will you go?RICHARDI don’t maybe Colorado to straighten things out.MARYDo you remember what happened to my dad in Colorado?RICHARDYes but that won’t stop me from going.Richard gets into his car, shuts the door, and drives away.FADE OUT:FADE IN:

INT. RICHARD’S CAR – DAY

NEWS REPORTERWe are reporting clear skies all day long and-Richard turns off the radio to concentrate on the road.Richard sees and old house for sale up the road and pullsup to it.
