During
the month of September there were 580
adverse actions
taken by INS
Inspections
at JFK.These actions
consisted
of 65 removal hearings

106 withdrawals [I275], 92 visa waiver program
[VWP]

hearings
by

fear interviews by APSO. There were 4 cases accepted for prosecution bythe US Attorney from the JFK Enforcement
Unit.
Of these total actions, 159
were the result of the

political
asylum; 5 arrivedwithout documentation; 21
involved
fraudulent documents that are included in the statistics on thepreceding page. The following are the nationalities involved in

Therewas no carrier training conducted

month.
This
maintains a total of 189 airline
agents,
16 foreign consular/immigrationofficers,and 1 U.S.government agency trained under the NYC program during
this
fiscal
year
to date.Enforcement ProgramsDuring this month there were
4 new
cases that were accepted
for
prosecution
by the
AUSA. Thismaintains a total of 51 cases that were accepted for prosecution by the
AUSA
during this fiscal year.During thisrnonthi
due to the
efforts
of the
enforcement
and PAU
projects,
16
aggravated felons
were
identified. Their efforts aidedin theprocessingof 19
additional
criminal deferrals,5active warrants wereturned overtowanting agencies,

240hearings were executed,8expedited removals were executed,3I-275,

VWP
refusals
and 3
I-247 detainers.
The
warrants were
for
criminal possession
of a
controlledsubstance, conspiracy to
distribute
heroin,
criminal
contempt, theft of services, petit larceny, harassment
and
larceny.
Two
malafide
crewmerrtbers
were apprehended
as a
result
of the
"Deep Six"
operation.
These
actionsare
included
in theaforementioned statistics.
Deport
AssistanceDuringthemonthJFKassisted various DeportationandRemoval officersintheir deportationof 4
aliens
to
their home countries. This maintains
a
total
of 124
deport
assists
for the
fiscal year.
