For a few rare moments on January 20, 2009 in Washington DC it was possible to feel a change in time as if the Earth paused on its axis.

Following nearly two years of campaigning the former Democrat Senator for Illinois was anointed President of the United States.
Near the front of the some 1.5 – 2 million people crowding the long fields known as the “Mall” extending from the front of the US Capitol Building to the Washington Monument you could feel the palpable
sense of anticipation for change.
