NY League of Conservation VotersAnnounces New York City Endorsements
NEW YORK 
--- The New York League of Conservation Voters, which works to makeenvironmental sustainability a top political and policy priority in New York, today announced itsendorsed slate of candidates for New York City’s fall 2009 election. NYLCV endorsed 20 individuals who are seeking the offices of public advocate, comptroller, borough president and City Council. NYLCV previously announced its endorsement of MichaelBloomberg for mayor. This year’s screening process was a very competitive one, with 70candidates seeking NYLCV’s endorsement.“During these challenging economic times, it would be too easy for New York City to loseground as sustainability leader,” said Marcia Bystryn, president of the New York League of Conservation Voters. “Our endorsed candidates have demonstrated an unwavering commitmentto environmental progress that will help shape New York City into an even cleaner, greener cityof tomorrow.” NYLCV’s 2009 New York City endorsements are:
