Discussion Questions: 2 Corinthians 3:18

These discussion questions are designed to help you reflect upon and apply the message from the Scriptures. You can use these by yourself for reflection, or you could use these with your family or small group for discussion.

Introduction: To set up this discussion, what is a metamorphosis? Then read 2 Corinthians 3:12-18 Questions: 1. How is the idea of metamorphosis used in Matthew 17:2, Romans 12:2 and 2 Cor 3:18. 2. Where do we see "the glory of the Lord?" 3. According to Romans 8:29, what is God's purpose for all His people? 4. According to 1 John 3:2, what transformation will take place when Jesus comes? Why according to the text will be like Him? 5 What happened to Moses when he saw the glory of the Lord (2 Cor 3:13)?

6. What does it mean to "see" Christ and where do we see Him? 7. What should we be looking for and praying for as we read the Bible & listen to it proclaimed? What does that look like? 8. What is the focus of the Holy Spirit's ministry to us (see John 15:26)? Conclusion: What is the one thing you want to take away from this study to remember or to make a change in your life? How does this text challenge you to follow Jesus?

Renewing your mind: 2 Corinthians 3:18, And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
