Emperor Tangtaizongs Cultural Tendency and His Connections with Y U shi - nan and WEI Zheng

Abstract :By the comparative analysis of the delicate relationship between Emperor Tangtaizong and his minister YU Shi
- nan as well as that between him and his another minister WEI Zheng , the author concludes that Emperor Tangtaizong had
a better connection with YU Shi - Nan than with WEI Zheng , both of which were prominent statesmen during the Tang Dy2
nasty because Emperor Tangtaizong believed in the south China culture rather than the north China culture where the Tang
Dynasty originated and prospered.
