Arrived at West St. and Liberty St. Reported to DAC Barbara. Given command of the
stagging site. Relieved DAC Barbara. Directed incoming units as needed by DAC Barbara
at command post in WTC 2. Conducted rollcall of units at stagging area after collapse of
WCT 2. Conducted rollcall after collapse of WTC 1. Supervised search and rescue efforts

Remarks:
All members reported to the Quarters of Engine 7/Ladder 1 as per recall procedures. I was
advised by DC Hill Division 1 to equip and man reserve apparatus E515 and go in service.
Went into service as acting Engine 6 by orders of manhattan dispatcher.
OPERATIONS:
While 10-8, dispatcher advised E515 to assist in any way possible in getting water at the
WTC operations Box 5-5-8087. E515 laid out 3 1/2" supply hoseline from Liberty & Church
(E-247) and connected apparatus to a hydrant at Liberty & Naussau Sts. E515 continued
to supply E-247 throughout the night into the morning hours.
Additionally, members of E-515 assisted in the search & rescue operations In front of
E10/L10, climbing the hill and searching voids.
OPERATIONS:
E515 was activated from Eng 283. We joined the convoy over the Brooklyn Bridge with
BC41 & BC58. We reported into DC Haring.
Members assisted in hose streching and firefighting at the Marriott Hotel. Members
assisted in searches. Members assisted in hose stretch, operated 1 3/4 line, remove
debris and movement of suplies at the operation under the command of DC Esposito near
the qts of E10. Members performed any and all tasks that were requested of them.

E-274 ACT 524 hoiked up to a hydrant In the proximity of 80 West St. and supplied TL-114
by stretching 8 lengths of 3 1/2" line. TL-114 operated It's stream on the various floors of
fire In 90 West Strjeet The 3 1/2" line was disconnected from TI-114 after 45 minutes and
subsequently connected to TL-15 due. to it"s advantageous position to reach the fires in
BO West St.. A feW hours later this same line was diseonriected from TL-15 and connected
to the standpipe donnection of 85 West St. The memberi dug for suvivors until relieved
by DC. Mulrenan 4 24:00 9-11-01.
