Big Summer Trip of 2007
It all started in the summer, June 2007, when we were goingon our big trip. First we packed all our belongings, than we wereoff to Niagara Falls. After the 3 days at Niagara we went to LakeOntario for a quick visit then headed for Michigan, were mycousins live. We drove for our whole trip. We had been away fromhome for about a whole week. The times to and from our destinations were such as (Home to Niagara = 10½ hours, than Niagara to Michigan = 4 hours.) Now as you read further on I willtell you more about what happened during the Big Summer Trip of 2007!!!Starting from my house in Des Plaines, we left at 6:00 in themorning. We were driving through Illinois and my brother and Isaid we were hungry. Later on when we stopped in Indiana and ateat a restaurant which was called “Bob Evans.” I had warm steamyeggs, some nice moist biscuits, and some Homemade Gravy. SoMarya, my dad’s girlfriend, my dad, my brother, and I had mostlyeaten the same thing but a couple things were different. We leftthere and started to drive. Hours later we hit Ohio and stopped for a rest room break and snack and then kept on driving for Pennsylvania. A couple hours later we came to New York andstopped for gas again and there was a nice small restaurant acrossthe street and we went and had lunch. Marya had a meatball sub,and then my dad, my brother, and I had Chicken Parmesan. Later on after we ate at the last restaurant we started driving and then wehit the boarder of the United States and Canada. Then when we passed through we were trying to find our hotel by Niagara Falls.About ½ and hour later we had gotten to the RenaissanceHotel and checked in. We brought our luggage up to the room on

floor and after we went down stairs for dinner. Then after we ate, we went back up to the room relaxed for awhile and thenwe headed for Niagara Falls to take a look at it. We had stayedthere for hours and hours till it started to get darker. The next daywe went down there again, but later on in the day. At night westayed and waited for the lights to shine on the falls and at first itwas hard to see them, but then it was easier later. After that wewent back to our room and my dad and Marya went to the Casinoacross the street then my brother and I were on our laptops whilethey were there. An hour later the fire alarms were going off in thehotel on every floor, we had been of course on the 16
th
. On theintercom in the hallway it said for everyone to evacuate the building and since we were on the 16
th
floor with no workingelevators so my brother and I had to run down 16 flights of stairsand when we reached the bottom we slammed open the emergencyexit door and there was a maid standing there and we hit her, andwe said we were so sorry, then we went and waited in the front of the Hotel.One hours later they told us we could go back to our roomsthat about an hour after that my dad and Marya came back and wetold them what happened and they were like “Why do we alwaysmiss things like that” And we all started to laugh. The next day onthe day that we were leaving there we went on 3 things, first theSkylon Tower which watches over the falls from a good distance.second we went on the maid of the mist and when we were in thefalls there was so much mist that it felt like it was pouring andthere was also tons of wind, about 25 miles an hour. Finally wewent to the Journey Behind the Falls and we went down 600ft. below the surface of where we were above before we had wentdown and went right next to the falls about 70ft. away though.We left Niagara Falls and started going toward Michigan.About 4 hours later we had gotten to our hotel, not so far awayfrom my cousin’s house. The next day we got up and went to there
