What is alcohol?
•Alcohol is present is all alcoholic drinks.•It is a type of depressant that slows down thefunction of the central nervous system,especially transmission of nerve impulses in thebrain.•Alcohol slows down reflexes and disruptscoordination, causing unclear speech, loss of balance, blurred vision, and poor judgement of distances.•Alcohol abuse is called alcoholism.
