DAY 3
JULY 15, 2009
BREMEN, GERMANY
First Exam
The third day the first exam. While deputy leaders and observers Band C enjoyed a guided tour throughthe city of Bremen on a perfect sum-mer day, contestants were sweatingovermathandinvigilatorswalkingtheirwalk back and forth the examinationhall. The estimation of the success insolving the problems is an individualthing. Atleasttheorganizers, whowerealmost as anxious about the exam, aregreatly relieved that, despite the scaleof the event, the logistics worked outvery well – and this is importantAnd after the contest, meeting peo-ple from many other parts of the world, everyone got some relief on the campuslawn or in the common room – and thisis equally important, of course.
