Prophetic Dreams
Anyone can have a prophetic dream from God. The purposes of these dreams are varied, but usually concern things of direct relevance to the dreamer. For example, Joseph had dreams concerning his future, and Pharaoh and Nebuchadnezzar had dreams concerning the future of their countries. God reveals his secrets to his servants! That is why the gifts of the Holy Spirit after conversion to Christ (Using biblically sound methods of applying his grace to our faith, inclusive of repentace and baptism in Jesus name.)are to coveted or highly sought after. Justin Martyr knew in his time 97-167 AD that other churches had these gifts (Yet never once mentioned it in Catholic circles, neither the following pre-Nicene fathers either!) and that God would reveal himself by the spirit of prophecy. Later on many Catholics would slander and villify the gifts and prophecy, calling such acts as men calling themselves God. Rather the were foretelling the future through his spirit. How do you find the false prophecy or vision? It does not line up with the word of God. God speaks to his servants today IF they will listen and obey his will.
