From November 14, 2013, Markos Kampanis will be exhibiting at the Athens Art Gallery, a
series of paintings, entitled “365”. All works have been painted
during the length of a year,one painting per day, from May 2012 to May 2013.
The only restrictions were thedimensions (20x20 and 20x25 cm.) and the obligation to paint one piece for every day. Thereare no restrictions in terms of theme, technique or style.
Instead of a catalogue a 2014 calendar is published.
The calendar is in the format of a week-by-week view, with 52 selected pieces accompanyingeach week as a full-page spread; the entire series, in smaller size, is presented at the end, inthe order they were painted, in the form of a complete catalogue of all 365 pieces.The calendar is in Greek and English, 20x20 cm in size, hard back, with 168 full colour pages.Apart from the works themselves, the calendar also includes an introductory note, aconversation of the painter with his friend and fellow painter George Hadjimichalisand of course all the usual calendar information.
