Description

A short story by writer Jeyamohan. First person narration of a hunting experience by a slave during the British times.

The story is quite blunt in narration and it uses unusual simile and metaphors (which by itself is interesting) but makes the story unnecessarily long. Also the ending has "political connotations" which will be difficult to grasp unless the reader knows the author's stand on this matter.

கதையின் நடை 'சராசரி' வாசகர்களை திணரடிக்கும் வாய்ப்புக்கள் அதிகம். அப்படியே கங்கணம் கட்டிப்படித்தால் அதில் உள்ள உவமை மற்றும் உவமேயங்கள் வழக்கத்துக்கு மாறாக இருக்கும். இதுவே சிலருக்கு வாசிப்பு அனுபவத்தைக்கூட்டலாம்.

கதை திடீரென முடிந்ததுப் போல் தோன்றலாம் ஆனால் முடிவில் எழுத்தாளர் ஏதோ அரசியல் பொறி கொண்டு முடிக்கிறார் என்று மட்டும் புரிகிறது. அது என்னவென்று எழித்தாளரே சொன்னால் தான் உண்டு.
