EVENTS PRECEDING THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST
If any believer should foretell any one of the events that must precede the secondcoming of Christ Jesus, should we regard that prophesy as true because God has used that prophet to tell it and it has happened? Certainly No! Because no one should regard it as prophetically given to him or her by God, for it is what as prophesied by Christ Jesus andis generally written in the Bible. For instance, the Bible speaks of many evil things tohappen in the days of apostasy that precedes the coming of Christ Jesus. See Matt 24:1-24; 2 Thess 2:1-12. Whatever prophecy was supposed to be prophesied was prophesiedand is fulfilled in the complete revelation of the New Testament. Therefore, any other  prophesy today ought to have come from the evil one. In addition, one, and more weresaid to appear after Christ had departed and before He comes back again. See John 5:43;Matt 24:4-5, 11, 24; 1 John 2:18, 19.The magnitude of the events or the nature is not explained in the Bible. The onlyidea we get from what the scriptures say is that the events cannot be in favor of ChristJesus and either would they do good to His would be believers. Therefore, the scripturesdemand us to be aware of them. God will judge our ignorance during the end timesshould we be found to follow the way if Satan. He will be justified to do that because Heexpects us to discern all the schemes and all the deceptions of Satan. We are supposed tolearn and understand and apply in our life the message of Jesus Christ. For God sent HisSon with His Word that we should learn and know His will. By the Word, we should become His children with the understanding and knowledge of the times we are living in.See Deut 18:18-19; John 12:46-50. The word of God is a mystery, which can only beunderstood by those with the mind of Spirit. Therefore, true understanding and the revelation of the things of Heaven are given to thosewho have been taught by God and then drawn to Christ to learn about God and His Son. Is 54:13,John 6:65. So all those who believe in Christ and keep His Word are truly the children of God andare able to understand Him, because they have a mind of Spirit since the Word of Christ is in their hearts and written in their minds. See John 17:3, 6-8, 17-18, 20; 1 Cor 2:1-16; Rom 8:5-9; Luke8:10; 24:45. They are children of light as they are born again. John 12:35, 36; ……………….They cannot be deceived by Satan nor should they play ignorance of the times they are living in.See 1 john 2:20, 27; 2 Cor 2:11. Therefore, they do not need mediums to plead their case beforeGod. Jesus is their only mediator and advocate Eph 2:16; 1 John 3:1, 2. Only Jesus Christ whoshould do this because He bears God’s image and also man’s likeness. Phil 2:6-8; Heb 2:14-17. Hetook our nature. John 1:1-3, 14: 1 John 2:5.When the sons of Israel broke God’s covenant, they feared either to go before Him or tohear Him, so they needed Moses to mediate for them. See Ex 20:18-21. However, Jesus came to usto have us reconciled with God, and launched that ministry to continue with the believer. See 2 Cor 5:18-20. Therefore, all those in Christ Jesus are truly new Creature and so are the children of God.They have a covenant with Him and so every one of them can boldly appear before Him in thename Christ Jesus, John 16:23-27; 14:12-24; 15:7-10. We do not fear to explain the secrets of theWord since they are being taught and revealed to us by the Holy Spirit in us, John 14:26; 16:7-15;Luke 8:10.We are made Christ’s ambassadors to speak on His behalf using our minds and mouth, see2 Cor 5:20. We have the Spirit of boldness see 2 Tim 1:7. S0, we do not mediums for fear that wehave incurred God’s wrath. We know how to repent our sins and confess of them, and the Lordforgives us cleansing us with His blood. See 1 John 1:9. But should Satan convince us that we

were saved and so, there is nothing to repent; God will punish us because of our self-justification.To this end, many Christians have been deceived that since they were saved, all was washed awayand so there is no need to go back to our history to find out where we went wrong. Yet thescriptures demand us to do that. See 1 John 1:5-9; James 5:16. Therefore, we have to confess notonly Jesus, but our sins also. Therefore at this time of the end times, when apostasy has already set in, lawlessness issecretly working. Christ Jesus foretold about it. See 2 Thess 2:3, 7; Matt 24:13-14, 20-28. God hasrevealed everything to His people through the gospel message. Therefore, we do not need medium prophets who are being used by Satan to lead us astray. We do not need dark sayings. What weneed is the Word. We must understand it to know Gods will and the times we are living in. Matt16:1-4. Through the Word, the Holy Spirit reveals to us what God wants. John 16:7-15.We must allow our minds to quite, if not always often be engaged on the Word. For doingthis, we are communicating with God. See Josh 1:8. It is through the Word that we arefellowshipping with God always and not by engaging our minds like in murmuring songs alwaysetc. Again, the Word in our minds and hearts will not allow Satan to deceive us. The Holy Spiritwill use the Word in us to oppose Him. See Eph 6:10-12, 17. Subsequently, do you suppose thatyou will fare well in the events preceding the Day of the Lord? See the warning. 2 Thess 2:1-12; 1Tim 4:1-5; 3:1-8; 1 John 2:18-19; 1 Peter 5:8-12; Eph 6:10-18; Jude 1:3-4; 2 Peter 2:1-22. Note that the prosperity message, which seems to be the centre of interest for the majorityof Christians today, opposes the purpose of the message. And as long as it continues to attractmany, the message by the women who opposed God’s Word spoken by the prophet Jeremiah in Jer 44:15-19, is the same opposition the true of the real message of Christ are facing today. For peopleare after prosperity and God’s material blessings and not after the things of heaven as demanded byCol 3:1-3. In this message, are you with me or are you opposing me? May God justify whoever iswith Him in His Word. However, we, Christian believers need to mind very much the times we are living in. Thescripture speaks about the dangers that face the Christian World at the end times because of theincreased wickedness caused by apostasy. These are the days of darkness. That is, when Satan isexercises His authority over the world since Jesus is not here with us physically though with thetrue believers inwardly John 14:15-24. As for us, let us all walk in the light in order to see wherewe are going. And in view of this, I wish to discourage the believers their being engaged in vainthings, i.e., desire for miracles, drinks, speaking in tongues, prophesying, seeing visions, all of which are not plainly done but in the dark. They are dark sayings. The children of light (John 12:35-36) should speak of the plain Word in order to avoidSatan’s deception in the darkness. After all, why should we wish to be engaged in such dark thingsand the Holy Spirit made everything clear through His inspiration of the whole message of Christfrom the beginning to the end of the times we are living in and made the apostles to write it? See 2Tim 3:16-17, 2 Pet 1:19:21; Heb 1:1-3. The Law and the prophets were up to the appearance of theJohn the Baptist. Therefore, Christ was the end of the Law. See Matt 11:11-12; Rom 10:4. Andwith the completed revelations, we cannot go back to the Old Testament’ dark sayings and expectto escape Satan’s deception. Satan applies the Old Testament requirements in order to opposeChrist Jesus and His message. So take care of the events preceding the day of the Lord. For Christcame and fulfilled all that the Old Testament stood for. See Dan 9:24-27; Heb 1:1-3; Gal 3:23-26.
