A description of child development from a spiritual perspective, inspired by Waldorf (Steiner) education.

The introductory material includes a survey of human development and the laws of metamorphosis. Most of the book is then devoted to a detailed description of child development. For each of the first 21 years of life, the author describes the characteristic step in development that year typically brings. He also seeks to evolve methodology and curriculum out of the inner transformations children pass through.
