One of the biggest and most revolutionary changes of the past fifty years or so has been the telecommunications revolution. But besides the obvious social benefits, one of the biggest advantages of this telecommunications revolution has been the ability of people to be immediately alerted and kept up to date about anything from news alerts, traffic incidents and inclement weather, to crime, natural disasters, or threats to national security. Has anyone out there heard about WideCircles.com. It seems like a way better service then wasting money on PPC. Apparently they are using refering websites ( forums, blogs, wiki, etc. ) and have a viral word of mouth distributed approach to it. My friend told me he got around 100 visits from single post which cost him $0.40c. I am going to give them a try today . In case you are intrested here is it. http://widecircles.com?s=imt1

TCP/IP TROUBLESHOOTING COMMANDS

TCP/IP stands for Transport Control Protocol/Internet Protocol. So to control the transport locally as well as on the internet we use a set of rules call TCP/IP. There are various commands and methods relating to troubleshooting. We can check where the actual problem lies in the TCP/IP connection. The TCP/IP is basically the set of rules or methods which have been defined already for the communication purposes. Now if due to some reason the connection is disturbed then there are lots of commands to repair that problem. Some of those commands are with their functionalities are described as under:

IP config
Ping
Arp
nbtstat
route
netstat
tracert
 hostname
FTP
TFTP
TELNET
rcp
finger
whois

IPCONFIG command is used to locate or to find the ip of the current machine. This ip may be of the local machine connected to the local network or the ip assigned to it for connecting to the world of internet.
Ping is basically command used to query the connection status. It returns the status of the system showing that whether it is connected or not. and whether the requested host is available or not.
ARP stands for Address Resolution Protocol and this protocol is used to resolve the ip address of the machine either it is on the local network or globally on the internet.
NBTSTAT is the command used for name resolution process. The ip address and name resolution issues are dealt by the NBTSTAT command.
ROUTE command actually determines the path through which the data or the stream of packets has to travel to reach to their desired destination.
NETSTAT command is used to display the statistics of the TCP/IP connection. It also displays the ip address with their respective port numbers.
TRACERT is a command used for tracing out the path through which a host to host communication will be possible.
HOSTNAME as the name indicates it is used to determine NETBIOS name or in simple words computer name assigned for that machine.
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol and as the name indicated all the file sharing and sending and receiving is done with the help of this ftp command. To check whether the information is sent and received properly check it with ftp command.
TFTP is also a trouble troubleshooting command. It is basically the advance version of FTP. It is used to transfer files to and from a remote computer.
TELNET is a troubleshooting command used to detect and perfom various actions and commands remotely.
RCP is a Remote CoPy utility or command and it is used to copy the files which are corrupted.
Check all the command one by one you will came across where the actual problem lies. If applying all the commands the problem remains there then the last option is to install a fresh copy of TCP/IP. That is the last and most reliable step you can opt during your troubleshooting of T...
