will play 5.1-channel audio, and ev en if it can't, it will downmix to stereo. But the XBOX 360 is awkward, so here 's how to use the encodes that we very kindly share for free. Before following this guide you will have one MP4 file comprised of 1 video trac k, and 2 audio tracks. Audio track 2 is the 2-channel stereo @ 128 kbps, and th e 5.1 (a.k.a. 6-channel) audio is between 384 kbps / 448 kbps. Use this informa tion to tell them apart in the next step to avoid mistakes. It wont need to be installed, as it's a stand-alone application. Just extract the RAR file after download it, to your new MP4Muxer folder. Once the files are ex tracted you will see the following inside of the folder: 1 x readme.txt | Ignore this file. 1 x mp4creator (mp4creator.exe) | Ignore this file as well. 1 x mp4muxer (mp4muxer.exe) | Its icon should be a green circle. Thats what we want. Double-click this file to open it. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::: INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE :::: :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Step Step Step with Step 1 2 3 the 4 When it starts click on the tab labeled Demultiplex. Browse to the MP4 containing the 1 video track and 2 audio tracks. Left click once to highlight the 5.1 (6-channel) audio; it's the track highest bitrate. Click the button labeled Delete Track.

When the process is complete a small dialog box wi ll be displayed stating that it has completed. Your file is now XBOX 360 compat ible, and it - along with anything else that only read 2-channel stereo audio tr acks - will play the video. NOTE - You may also use the instructions given above to remove the 2-channel aud io track, leaving only the 5.1 (6-channel) audio track if you so desire.
