I wanted to ensure this craftivityallowed more time for the activitythan crafting. I provided an owlwith fact families ranging from 10to 15. I also provided a blacklinewithout a fact family to allowfor differentiation. Students cansimply color, cut and assemble the
owl. I gave each child a small
brown piece of construction toprovide more wow factor. Afterthe craft is assembled, The kidswere given a sheet of fact family
triangles. The kids were to solve
their owl fact first. After,students rotated {similar to scoot}and recorded five additional factfamilies. Once completed, teamswere given an answer sheet forself correction.
