The research examined low income families and indebtedness and looked at the question of social lending for those trying to mange low incomes. The respondents on the survey are not exclusively benefit dependent.

Given recent developments related to banking, lending and the recession, the research is even more apposite to responsible lending than we could have imagined.

This research was completed but never published. In the various developments that took place at the time, the sponsoring group unfortunately folded - without having used the publication grant. I have only been able to find the first part of the document but there are in existence case studies of all the localities involved - together with accompanying information.

I am attempting to locate an electronic copy of this material. Howver I do possess a paper copy which is in storage. If I can get this scanned, Part 2 will become quickly available!
