Absentee Ballots are now available in the Humboldt County Auditors Ofce for the City
Election on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Anyone wishing to vote an absentee ballot may
do so at the Auditors Ofce from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through November 4, 2013 and
from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on November 5, 2013. Absentee voting can also be done by
mail by requesting an ofcial absentee ballot request form from the Humboldt County Au-
ditors Ofce, by downloading the form from the Secretary of States website at www.sos.
state.ia.us, or by submitting your absentee request on a 3 x 5 piece of paper that contains
the following information:
Your date of birth
Your full name and complete address, including city, state and zip code
Address the ballot should be mailed to, if different from your home address
The date of the election or the name of the election (11/5/2013, City Election)
Your original signature and date of signing
The absentee ballot request form must be returned to the Humboldt County Auditors
Ofce no later than November 1, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. No ballots will be mailed after this
date. Your voted ballot must be postmarked by November 4, 2013, or you may deliver the
ballot to our ofce before 8:00 P.M. on November 5, 2013.

woodland, or brush, trash or other material exceeding in
quantity that of normal yard waste, without rst notifying
the Humboldt County Communications Center at least one
hour prior to engaging in any of the above activity.
Nothing in the ordinance shall be deemed to apply to
cooking, recreational or normal yard waste res.
Violation of the ordinance constitutes a simple misde-
meanor and is punishable by a ne of at least $65 and not
exceeding $625 and/or up to 30 days in jail.
Persons are required to notify the Humboldt County Sheriffs
Ofce in advance of open burning by calling 515-332-2471.
