Simon Stalenhag

Simon Stalenhag is an artist based in the countryside of Stockholm, Sweden. Who has worked on a range of projects, such as; lms, commercials, book covers and concepting for video games. I found his work while looking through CG Hub, and was immediately interested in it. This was due to perfect balance in colour and light, and the stunning widescreen landscape scenes involving a mixture of prehistoric and futuristic scenes. At rst glance these digital paintings seemed highly detailed and somewhat photo-realistic, but on closer inspection they were constructed from simple blocks and lines of colour. From this work I have realised the key importance of lighting fundamental and how it can really create an impact of depth.
