In The Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
Indeed, all praise is due to Allah, the Eternal, the Creator, the One, and I bear witness thatthere is nothing worthy of worship except Allah, the One who does not accept that anyoneshould be a partner with Him. The One who does not accept that anyone be worshippedwith Him. And the One who has made belief in One God a characteristic of His believingservants. I bear witness that our leader, and example is Muhammad, the seal of theProphets and Messengers, may Allaah bestow upon him peace and blessings, and alsoupon his family, his Noble Companions, and everyone who follows him until the Last Day.To proceed; After having read the book entitled Democracy: A Religion - written in the Arabiclanguage - by our brother in Islaam, Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi, I felt a great need toinform the non-Arabic speaking Muslims of this dangerous disaster. The disaster that haspolluted the minds, and the
and the doctrine of many of the believingpeople. With regards to this clear cut form of disbelief, many of the disbelievers have been activein deceptive rhetoric, to try to prove this form of disbelief as not being a religion. I waspleased with the fact that our dear brother, Abu Muhammad al-Maqdesi, provided acomprehensive refutation of those who believe in the void constitutions and the false lawsof democracy. Our dear brother also used many authentic evidences from the Qur'an andthe Sunnah, with the addition of logical intellectual evidences, to prove his arguments -and thus write an essay which the mind could easily comprehend, without there being anycontradictions or nonsensical statements.I had searched for a long time to obtain a comprehensive refutation of the disbelieversinnovation of democracy, and of the polytheistic parliamentary councils - and our dearShaykh has provided this. I found all of these things in this valuable book, so I decided totranslate the book into English, so that the rest of mankind who may not be able tocomprehend Arabic, would be able to distinguish the Truth from falsehood, the guidancefrom the error, and to be an evidence against those who believe in democracy. All translations of the Qur'an that have been used were used from
Al-Qur'an - acontemporary translation
, by Ahmad Ali. I hope that Allah accepts this work for His sake, and all praise is due to Allah, the First and the Last.
1. Monotheism: belief in One God, i.e. belief in Allah alone, without any partners.
