COURSE ASSIGNMENT (20%)

Assignment details: 1. This assignment will be done in a group consisting of 3 to 4 persons per group 2. The assignment will entail students doing research on a particular topic which is relevant to the course. 3. The findings of their research will then be presented in class. This means that the group will have to prepare a PowerPoint presentation consisting of not more than 15 slides outlining the main information / data that have been gathered. 4. Pictures, short videos, graphs or any other supplementary materials may also be used / included into the presentation if the use of such materials serves to add value to the whole presentation. 5. NO write-up is required from the group. Your 20% will be wholly based on the content of your slides AND your oral presentation. 6. All members in the group MUST participate in doing the assignment and presentation. 7. All sources used in your presentation MUST be properly cited in your presentation 8. The CONTENT of your group presentation will be assessed based on the following criteria.

1. Quality of Information (Maximum marks: 15)

The content shows evidence of a thorough research Various sources used, all of which have been properly cited All important points have been included in the presentation, with the right level of detail All facts presented are accurate and legally correct, no factual errors are present Case laws are cited effectively and appropriately to provide authority to a point given

2. Organization of information (Maximum marks: 10)

Contents are presented in a logical coherent manner so that the audience can understand what is being presented

3. Mechanics (5 marks)
