'Stressors' have become a common direction for employees, for example First Responders, to file for benefits for diseases like, for example, PTSD. Although it is easy to file, for example, a FECA lawsuit for disability benefits, PTSD is rarely mis or mal diagnosed even with the special interest lobbyists attempted changes to DSM 5 that were rejected by the scientific community. OMS is a vulnerable service due to exception to the five year opportunity law and being the only Peace Corps Office that may treat Peace Corps workers as federal employees with those rights, like FECA, and life long injury treatments.
