However, in the future, with the funding cuts thatare in place, we will need to look at creative ways to generate income.I was talking to a gentleman who works for a funeral service, and he mentioned ways smalltownships could raise money. He suggested they could offer services and products thatmake headstones look new as well as painting the names and dates with black paint. Theysound like good services to offer people and could help in a small way with the future of theGeneral Fund.Working with the Geauga County Engineer’s Office renting equipment to use in our Township is another way to reduce cost. We can rent equipment instead of purchasing
equipment that does not get much use most of the year. The residents gain in safe roadsand experience that comes from working together.Whether for past accomplishments or future goals, why should voters elect you?I am sure we could think of many other ideas to help small townships. Certainly thinkingoutside the box and being good stewards with the tax payers money will be important inthis economy. In adding stability to the General Fund and stretching our Road Funds.Hardworking and committed to serving the residents. Experienced working with colleaguesin a positive way to manage township business.
