Election Day problems
If your right to vote is challenged at the polls on ElectionDay and the problem cannot be resolved at the polling place,the judge of elections at the polling place should telephonethe county Board of Elections.The problem could be resolved by phone if your name ap-pears on the county records. If it does not and you want totry to resolve the problem, then you can go in person to thecounty Board of Elections, where a judge from the Court ofCommon Pleas will be on duty to resolve election problems.Alternatively, you can ask for and vote by provisional bal-lot. If it is later determined that you were eligible to vote,your ballot will be counted. You will be given instructions onhow to determine if your vote was counted.Problems at the polls can be reported to the PA Depart-ment of State at

Absentee voting
Registered voters who areill of disabled or will be ab-sent from the municipalityon Election Day may vote byabsentee ballot.Completed applicationsfor civilian absentee bal-lots must be received by thecounty Board of Electionsby 5 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29.Completed civilian absenteeballots must be received backat the Board of Elections by 5p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1.If an emergency arisesafter the Tuesday applicationdeadline, call your countyBoard of Elections for infor-mation on emergency absen-tee voting. Proof of emergen-cy may be required.An emergency applicationand ballot can be obtainedand voted by 5 p.m. on Friday,Nov. 1. Any disabled voterhaving questions regardingthe accessibility of a poll-ing place should consult thecounty Board of Elections at299-8293.
