Council President Robert A. Maiocco called the Thirty First Regular Meeting of the Medford City Council to order at 7:00 P.M., at the Howard F. Alden Memorial Auditorium, Medford City Hall.

City of Medford Call for City Election

BE IT ORDERED: that in accordance with the provisions of General Laws of Massachusetts and the Revised Charter of the City of Medford, insofar as the latter is applicable, the City Clerk, be and he, is hereby authorized and instructed to notify and warn such of the inhabitants of the City of Medford, qualified to vote and the law requires, to assemble at the several polling places as designated in this order for and within the several precincts where they are duly registered voters on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2013, then and there to give their ballots for the nomination of respectively: One (1) Mayor to serve for a period of two (2) years from the first Monday in January, 2014, to be elected by and from the qualified voters of the City at large. Seven (7) members of the City Council to serve for a period of two (2) years from the first Monday in January, 2014, to be elected by and from the qualified voters of the City at large. Six (6) members of the School Committee to serve for a period of two (2) years from the first Monday in January, 2014, to be elected by and from the qualified voters of the City at large. BE IT FURTHER ORDERED: that the following named polling places be and they are hereby designated to be used at the City Election to be held on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2013. (The said polling places to be open at 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.) 13-727-Offered by Councillor Penta Be It Resolved that the merger proposal between the Lawrence Memorial Hospital and the Partner's Group be discussed further.

13-728-Offered by Councillor Penta Be It Resolved that the mayor's failure to communicate with this council as requested by our resolution regarding Medford's public access TV station's failure to operate since January of this year be discussed.
