 Value appreciation
– What Dos th rsach Say?
For two years thedisneystreetssayno.com site and
reated ers have procaimedthat propert vaes increaseexponentia faster otside of CDs. Biders and deveopershave exhorted the same caim
and the term “stagnation” has
come in voge. As it trns ot,there are no forma stdies in
existence that back these claims.
The on pbished researchcomparing vae accretion inCDs to areas withot designationacta concdes jst theopposite – vaes increase fasterinside and within 150 feetof CDs as compared to nondesignated areas. This std,

edito’s not:
I have heard that those of us who generally support a CD are not being sensitiveto the right of each resident to have his or her own opinion. The reality, however,is that one of the primary goals of the Disney Street Conservation Committee
(“DSCC”) is not to stie opinions but rather to ensure that opinions can be
formed based on factual data. The main topic of this edition of the CD Updateris a perfect example – Property Values. The argument that property value growthwithin a CD will lag behind values for properties outside the boundaries of a CDis directly contradicted by factual third-party research. Thus, the following articleis intended to communicate the results of this research, not to tell anyone what  position he or she should take on the issue. The CD Updater is here to provideinformation and dispel misinformation, nothing more and nothing less. How (if)this information is used is the decision of each individual resident. But please use
it. And if you nd inaccuracies, please challenge anything and everything.
