    Statement from Oridek Ap, Coordinator Free West Papua Campaign (NL), West Papua to Sápmi through IOSDE; delivered by India Reed Bowers, founder & director of IOSDE, at the Anti-Mining (in Sweden & Sápmi) Demonstration in Stockholm, 26 October 2013. IOSDE Introduction: "Good afternoon, My name is India Reed Bowers, I am from the United States and now reside in Sweden, and I have been active in Indigenous Land Rights around the World for 15 years, and I am the Founder and Director of the International Organization for Self-Determination and Equality (IOSDE). In July after the police action in Gállok, I wrote a letter through IOSDE to the Prime Minister of Sweden, about the illegal nature of the mineral prospecting and mining of the State of Sweden in Sápmi, in regards to Sámi as an Indigenous People under international law. In August, after I visited Gállok I did a follow-up statement through IOSDE about the violence of the police against the activists, addressing that violence-enforced land-grabbing for States and business is a tool of colonialism, and that it must stop. Today I bring an Indigenous message to Sápmi from West Papua, a land brutally controlled by Indonesia with US and business interests in international political military strategy and mining, violently blocking Indigenous West Papuan independence. Please continue to reach out Internationally to your Indigenous brothers and sisters and allies, supporting solidarity in Indigenous Rights - we can win this global issue together!"
