Permission to Film

We will be filming the band in school so we had to ask the music department if we could use some of their music equipment and instruments. We spoke to the head of music, who gave us permission to come in on a certain day to use the instruments. We also would need the permission of the school to film so we talked to the head teacher who also gave us permission to use school grounds. We will also be filming outside and potentially inside a house. We need the permission of the owner of the house to use their home in filming. We also need to make contact with the owner of the house before we come, to remind them that we are coming and ask if its still ok and if any arrangements have changed on their behalf. We may not need permission to film in London. To make sure I went on The City of London website and found what they say about filming in London. There was an application that we would have to fill out, and they recommended that we fill it out even though we were a small group. Because we had a crew of less than 5 people and portable cameras and equipment, they sent us permission to film and a document that we could use to show any police or anyone that asks us if we had permission.
