It is important to remove the Baking Pan fromthe unit before putting ingredients into the Pan (except when using the “Add-Ingredient” function, see pg. 10) to avoid accidentally spilling ingredients intothe oven chamber. q Before operating, the Baking Pan must be in place to avoidelectric shock. q Place the Breadmaker at least 2 inches (50 mm) away from anywalls or from under cabinets to allow for steam from vents. q Do not cover theBreadmaker with towels or other material that may prevent steam from escaping.Some steaming from vents is normal. q Do not clean with scouring pads. The BakingPan and Mixing Paddle have a non-stick coating. Refer to the “Care and Cleaning”section of this book. q Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/orflammable fumes. q This product is intended for household use only and not forcommercial or industrial use. That’s because the All-In-OnePro™ Breadmaker does the work for you. Even if you’ve never made homemade breadbefore, you’ll rise to the occasion with this Breadmaker. Please take a fewminutes to read this Use & Care Instruction/Cookbook and to find a place to keepit handy for reference. Pay particular attention to the safety instructionsprovided for your protection. Review the product warranty and service statementsand fill out and mail in the owner registration form. Carefully unpack theBreadmaker and remove all packaging materials. To remove any dust that may haveaccumulated during packing, wipe the Baking Pan, Mixing Paddle, and outsidesurface of the Breadmaker with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use scouring pads orany abrasives on any part of the Breadmaker.TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREWSThis appliance is equipped with tamper-resistant screws to prevent removal of theouter cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not attempt toremove the outer cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair shouldbe done only by authorized service personnel.ELECTRICAL CORDThe cord length of this appliance was selected to reduce safety hazards that mayoccur with a longer cord. If more cord length is needed, an extension cord with apolarized plug may be used. It should be rated not less than 10 amperes, 120Volts, and have Underwriters Laboratories (U.L.) or Canadian Standards Association(CSA) listing, depending on the country. When using a longer cord, be sure it doesnot drape over a working area or dangle where it could be pulled on or trippedover.
