Rita John Kg. Marabahai Peti surat 248 89208 Tuaran 17 May 2011 Dear Mahmud, Thank you for your letter which I received two days ago. We are all fine here. How about you? I hope you and your family are in the pink of health. I am writing this letter to tell you about what I did during the last school day. Like you, I also went for a camping trip organised by my school Scout Society. We went to Teluk Paya, Inanam for the camp. We camped for two days and one night. On the first day, we began our journey from school. At 7.00 oclock in the morning, all forty of us waited for the bus at the school car park. There were also four teachers who accompanied us for the camp. When we reached Teluk Paya, we quickly pitched the tents for us to keep our things and to sleep that night. Then, we were asked to cook on our own for lunch. After resting for half an hour, we had jungle trekking. We trekked into the jungle in groups. It was very challenging and we need to be careful as we walked. We were so happy when we reached a waterfall. It was very beautiful. Our teachers allowed us to swim but only for ten minutes. Then, we returned to our campsite and had some interesting games. At night, we had campfire. We sat around the fire and each group presented a performance. We also sang some scout songs. We really enjoyed that moment. At 10.00 oclock, we were instructed to sleep. On the second day, we had fishing activity at the river. My group managed to catch two big fishes. We were very happy because we could cook the fishes for our lunch. Then, our teachers brought us to a vegetable farm in the nearby village. We helped the farmer to pluck his vegetables to be sold. We also helped him to clean the farm. He then gave us some vegetables to cook. We were very happy and thanked him. In the evening, we cleaned the place and got ready to go home. We were quite sad to leave the place. When I reached home, I told my family about the camp. They were happy to know that I had learnt something from the camp.
