BITS Pilani, Pilani and Goa Campuses
Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani is an Institution declared as Deemed to be Universityunder Sec. 3 of the UGC Act and features in the world map of reputed educational institutions. Dur-ing the early years of its inception i.e., 1964 to 1970, the Institute had the advantage of having col-laboration with MIT (USA), with the help of Ford Foundation Grant. Besides adopting semester system, modular course structure, continuous & internal evaluation, letter grading, etc., the Institutecreated institutionalized linkages with industries in terms of Practice School and introduced severalflexibilities such as dual degree, transfer, etc., in its educational process. The Institute has grownover the years as one among the top ten institutions in India and has established three more cam-puses – Dubai, Goa and Hyderabad. In addition, Work Integrated Learning programs leading tovarious degrees are also conducted for employed professionals.
