Living in Canberra, I am marriedto Matthew and mother to our four scrapping subjects children(three girls and a boy) ranging inage from 10 to 4! I am currentlycompleting some post graduatestudies and I scrapbook almostevery night as a way of windingdown (I don’t watch much TV).Although I scrapbooked a littlebeforehand, I found the wider world of scrapbooking and theonline community in 2005 andhave been scrappingconsistently since. My style hasevolved from a streamlined,functional way of recording, to amore creative and colourfulstyle, though my work is still fairlysimple.I enjoy the creative aspect ofscrapbooking, but my focus is ontelling stories. I also like to makegifts for family and friends(as many of them appreciate handmade gifts as much as I do), and I make cards out of myscraps. I use a lot of patterned paper, because it is so versatile (it can be used as a background,matting photographs, making embellishments, as strips in lieu of ribbon, and more …)! As far astechniques, most of my layouts have some form of stitching (either by machine or by hand) and Iuse plenty of buttons to boot.There are many things to love about this hobby and I love to see my children taking an interest inthe hobby too. Most of all, I love to see my children, family and friends enjoy the albums I create.
