1)Click on the windows start button and then “right” click your mouse on theMy Computer and “left” click on properties.2)The systems properties window will come up. Click on the advanced taband then the settings button under the performance section.
 
3)Under the performance options box click on the data execution preventiontab.
 
3) You will see two options. If “turn on DEP for essential windows program andservices only” is checked then you do not need to continue and can exit thescreen. If “turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select” ischecked then you will need to click on the add button at the bottom.
