1) Click on the windows start button and then select control panel. Click on“System and Maintenance”, and then click “System”. On the left hand side of thewindow click on “Advanced system settings”.
 
2) The systems properties window will come up. Click on the advanced tab andthen the settings button under the performance section.3) Under the “Data Execution Prevention” in performance options you will seetwo options. If “turn on DEP for essential windows program and services only” ischecked then you do not need to continue and can exit the screen. If “turn onDEP for all programs and services except those I select” is checked then you willneed to click on the add button at the bottom.
