Emerging mobile applications offer the promise of flexibility, connectivityand productivity for business travellers. As mobile technology evolvestravel programmes will take advantage of new functionalities forimproved communication and enhanced trip experience. Travellers willincreasingly rely on their mobile devices while on the move and the needfor internal cooperation between IT, HR and travel departments willbecome more obvious. The findings of this research identify how mobiletechnology is currently used, its benefits and its full potential whenapplied to travel programmes. This is just at the beginning of a new wayof managing corporate travel.
The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) is a not-for-profitassociation established by business travel managers in 1988 to providemeaningful education and networking opportunities.
