Epilogue
My name? No you aren't getting that yet. The fact is that I don't reallytrust you yet.For the purpose of communicating my story we'll just call me Frank. Ihave a job to do and failure isn't an option. That is a lot of pressure. There isno grade scale. This is pass, fail. You see my world is dying. All of our history, times of peace, times of war. The good times and bad times that any civilization that has been aware of itself for 10,000 years would naturally have.We hear your whines about this global warming thing. We pick uptransmission about your bad economy. Let me tell you folks, those thingshappen. They are nothing though compared to where we are now. We had nochoice. You see our star has betrayed us. It has changed it's size. Our atmospherehas changed. Our vegetation no longer grows where it used to, our ediblespecies of animals are dying off. Our water is drying up.We were a world of eight billion sentient beings made up of two species. My species, the Kannel, would be considered reptilian on your world. We

share our planet with what you might call a mammalian people, a cross between an ape and a canine on Earth. From your eyes you might expect the other species to be the superior intelligence. On your world reptiles are the inferior of all creatures. Unable tohave a non instinctual thought.I assure you though that we are the supreme beings on our planet. Notthat we gloat. We understand that our brethren, the Fellan, are important to our  planet. What they lose in intelligence they make up in physical prowess. Somuch of our success as a planet could be attributed to their hard work.I also assure you that we are not truly reptilian. We are warm bloodedcreatures with green, scaly skin and a tail. However we are more like youhumans than you may ever know. Our only true goals are so simple. We want to survive. We want our children to have children. We want our history to be continued as a people. We just can't do that on Latchela, our  planet. We need to find a new home. We need you to understand.Believe me it won't be a one way street either. We have advancements intechnology that you would love. Our doctors could advance your medicinehundreds of years. We don't even want to overrun your planet. We have already became aspecies that lives in domes with artificial environments. All we want is to useyour satellite that you call your moon. It's proximity to your star is perfect. Wecould very well inhabit it with all two billion of our citizens that still breath on
