Microchips have off-late become one of the essentialtools without which the IT industry seems to have nofuture. Ever since the evolution of microchip by JackKilby, the IT industry has developed rapidly. It hasnow become the basic building block of everythingfrom cell phones to supercomputers and has laid thefoundation for the entire digital world including the

(an another form of it is Web 2.0, whichhas helped Public Relations evolve over the decade).Before this invention computers were like emptyboxes that acquired only space & no value.Computers were prone to the problem of overheating, burnouts and not efficient enough intheir performance level. The robust and reliablemicrochip on the other hand incorporates all thefeatures of a large circuit design on one single unitwhich then can be mass-produced cheaply. Thepresent scenario shows that its size has gone downto the nanometer scale with even more elementsincorporated into it.Well we can continue to reap the benefits of miniaturization while spending less at the same time.Certainly it is one of the greatest inventions of theera, which is the

Nowthe use of social networking sites, Blogs, Wikis,Social bookmarking and media sharing have becomewidespread. The existence of such online applicationsand services as Facebook and YouTube are wellknown amongst teachers, who are often users of thistechnology themselves in their private lives, but maynot recognize the educational potential for theirstudents and for every individual to be concise.Young people are reported to spend almost as muchtime online as they do watching TV, and they areparticularly attracted to many Web 2.0developments, finding the social aspects of easycommunication, co-ordination and online expressionof personal identities appealing.
