Concerning this particular writing, then I have been made aware that many of the Muslim men are under the impression that after entering into the fold of Islam - they now have full license to chase Dunya at any cost. In turn, you'll find many men who were hopeless armed robbers and drug users becoming addicted to material success after embracing Islam. They do not move further away from the world, rather they feel entitled to it due to the statement of Allâh: „Seek your Home of the Hereafter with what Allâh has given you in this world; and do not forget your portion in this world.‰9 My advice to these brothers is that while Islam does permit the pursuit of Halâl free enterprise, it is not to be done at the cost of even one missed prayer. There is no justifiable reason for abandoning your wife and children, temporarily abandoning your Salâh, abandoning the Masjid, or keeping company with evil people in order for you to pursue wealth, power or influence. In fact, it is not permissible for one to abandon the above obligations for the purpose of seeking knowledge, so how much
