Honda Mobilio Prototype, Honda's First LMPV Model for Indonesia Making World Premiere at 2013 Indonesia International

Jakarta - Honda officially unveils Honda Mobilio Prototype for the first time in the world at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2013 (IIMS). Honda Mobilio is the first LMPV model for Honda in Indonesia, and the first model especially made by Honda for Indonesia. The World Premiere of Honda Mobilio Prototype was presented by President, Chief Executive Officer and Representative Director Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Takanobu Ito at the Opening of Honda Booth in IIMS 2013.On his remarks, Takanobu Ito said Honda Mobilio especially designed based on Indonesian customer needs. I believe Honda Mobilio would fulfill Indonesian customers dream of an affordable family car with high standard quality from Honda. LMPV segment is the biggest automotive segment in Indonesia, consists of 32% from total market in Indonesia. This segment preffered by customers because it offers family car models with 3-row capacity which is affordable, and suitable to Indonesian customers characteristic who spend a lot of times with family and friends. Customers in this segment mostly consist of first time buyers that give high priority in terms of affordable price but still consider quality. Since the beginning, Honda Mobilio has not only been designing as a model that fulfill all the needs from LPMV, but also brings high quality standard and sporty performance which becomes the characteristic of Honda product. In order to achieve the goal, Honda did a comprehensive study of Indonesian customers behaviour, actual road condition, and car usage to ensure that Honda Mobilio answers the needs on Indonesian customers. The result of the study was implemented on design and features of Honda Mobilio. The dimension is 4.4 meter which is an ideal size to create spacious cabin, but not too long to makes it hard when parking the car. High Ground Clearance (185 mm) gives comfort and driving confidence for customers in various road condition in Indonesia. Moreover, 2,650 mm wheelbase and optimum height brings high level of maneuver as well as stability. The precisely-designed dimension, along with dynamics shape, biggest engine power in its class, and high fuel efficiency offers competitive package for Honda Mobilio.

Tomoki Uchida, President Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor says, "Honda Mobilio will be the special model for Honda in Indonesia because it is specifically designed to meet the needs of consumers and the character of the road in Indonesia. Honda Mobilio will be assemblied in Indonesia, and become the first model of our New Factory in Karawang targeted to operate in early 2014." Starting at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2013, Honda Mobilio already offered for booking by customers. The price range offered for Honda Mobilio is Rp.150-180 million. After IIMS 2013, Honda Mobilio will be brought to various big cities in Indonesia to be exhibited and introduced directly to customers.

HONDA MOBILIO PROTOTYPE TECHNICAL INFORMATION Honda Mobilio Prototype has been designed based on study of Automotive market in ASEAN region which grows rapidly, especially in Indonesia, the Country with largest number of population in ASEAN. Honda started to build this car based on study of the needs, joy, and what expects from the car in their daily activites. DESIGN CONCEPT Exterior Design Honda Mobilio Prototype has exterior design concept; Dual Solid Motion to combine two strong stance and express the strength with dynamic feeling. Shape from its bumper, Front Grille, door, headlight, rea pillar, rear fender, tail gate spoiler makes its design express the energy and strong stance. Front View: The Mobilios front design expresses the sleek and wide stance of this 7-seat Low-MPV. Large front bumper flares highlight the Mobilios sporty premium look and emphasize its strength. Side View: With its front and rear connected by a character line and the highlight of a lightning-bolt belt line that improves visibility from all the rows (front, side, rear), where every row has glass. This design makes Honda Mobilio different from the other boxys MPV. Rear View: The rear look of Honda Mobilio is tough, strong and luxury from its rear bumper, rear wide bumper, Rear Combination Lamp, Tail Gate Spoiler design which stylish & sporty, and 6-LED High Mount Stop Lamp which adds luxury look. Headlight The Mobilios headlights are made from polished aluminum for a luxury look. The high-mount brake lights and side turn lamps use LEDs to provide an advanced and exclusive feeling. Interior Design; Prime Comfort The Mobilios interior embraces a prime comfort theme consistent with its class-leading sensational and comfortable cabin. Maintaining the Honda design philosophy of Man Maximum,

Machine Minimum, the sense of quality is reflected in every element of the interior design to provide the ultimate comfort and luxury. In addition to focusing on second row, Honda put considerable effort into providing a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in the limited space available for third-row passengers. Cabin Room By eliminating everything that takes up space and has no purpose, Honda gives the interior of the Mobilio considerable openness. The lower portion of the instrument panel has been reduced to create extra legroom for front seat occupants. The back of the front-row and second-row seats are slightly concave to offer additional knee room in second row and third row. The raised roof lining provides generous headroom for second-row and third-row passengers while creating enough space to include a rear air-conditioner panel. The two-tone beige and black color scheme further enhances the feeling of openness and quality. Front Row Seat Front Row seat deisgn is sporty & comfortable, equipped with headrest. Second Row Seat Second row seat has wide legroom, knee clearance, also for the foot clearance. The second row seat could fold into 60/40. Third Row Seat The third row seat of Honda Mobilio Protoype also has wide legroom. The third row seat could fold into 50/50. Double Blower Air Conditioner The double blower rear air conditioner is positioned between first and second row of seats, expanding air flow to all areas. The occupants in second and third row can enjoy every journey in a cool and comfortable atmosphere.

Engine Honda Mobilio equipped with Honda i-VTEC engine 1.5 liter SOHC engine, 16 valve, 4 cylinder which capable producing 118 PS maximum power at 6,600 rpm. While the torque could produce 14.4 Nm at 4,800 rpm. Transmission Honda Mobilio has two transmission options, 5 speed manual and CVT.
