Scribd Makes Publishing and Reading Social,Highlights Conversations Happening Around Written Works
SAN FRANCISCO – August 10, 2009 – 
Scribd, the world’s largest social publishingcompany, today announced the launch of redesigned, more interactive pages onScribd.com. The move is part of the company's longer term strategy to turn publishingand reading into a social experience on the web and mobile devices. Changes include theaddition of a "scribble" box, publishing feed, a one-click publishing button and an abilityto "subscribe" to any user and their public activities in real time. Deeper integration withTwitter and Facebook is also in the works."The next major evolution of the 'print' medium will be social, with readers participatingin the never-ending life of the document, the book, the presentation," said Trip Adler,CEO and co-founder of Scribd.
