Start from Scratch
We begin your
My Documents
folder. In that folder, create a folder named
Sort
and a folder named
MyFiles
. The
My Files
folder will be the cornerstone of your alphabetical filing system.
Clear the Deck
Now, move all of your existing documents into the
Sort
folder. This will give you a clean slate to work with.
Set Up the Alphabetical Filing System
Create a folder for each letter of the alphabet, even Z.
