The Scope of Work includes the site furnishings and landscaping features at theGeorgetown Neighborhood Library which is located at 3260 R Street, NW, Washington,
DC.

Contractor shall be responsible for labor, material and equipment for all landscaping andsite furnishings at the site of the Georgetown Neighborhood Library as indicated in biddocuments (100% Final Construction Drawings and Specifications dated July 9, 2009).Available on CD. Work includes but is not limited to the following specification sectionsDivision 1 – General RequirementsDivision 2 – Site Construction02230 Site Clearing02231 Tree Protection and Trimming02300 Earthwork (As applicable for your work)02870 Site Furnishings02920 Lawns and Grasses02930 Exterior Plants1.
Furnish and install benches, trash receptacles, precast concrete planters,bike racks, , including any required foundations for the same.2.
Public space permit as required for the work.3.
Any co-ordination required with the adjacent Book Hill Park.4.
Provide miscellaneous landscape remediation to clear existing trees,stumps, shrubs and/or groundcover not intended to remain.5.
Provide fine grading as required for the work of this contract.6.
Furnish and install topsoil and mulch as specified.7.
Seed lawn areas as specified. Restore any lawn areas damaged byexcavation, site utility or other construction work.8.
Protect any existing canopy trees to remain.9.
Furnish and install new trees, shrubs, plants, perennial, grasses andgroundcover materials in quantities, species, locations, spacing and sizesindicated.10.
Locate and verify all underground utilities prior to installation of anyplant material.11.
Coordinate the work of this contract with all other trades in progress.12.
Furnish and install any miscellaneous planting bed materials includingbut not limited to root barriers, edging, planting soil mix, and mulch.
