The primary purpose of this study was to identify specific academic and social factors that may be used as “flags” to identify Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) 6th grade students who are at high risk of not completing high school. A secondary purpose was to understand how these factors may or may not be aligned with those identified by Neal, Balfanz, and other researchers.
