Every anhas its own characteristics so check with the installationguide that came with your an beore attempting anyinstallation.
Safety Precautions
There are a ew saety precautions to cover rst. For allexhaust ans you will need electrical service to the an,with or without an independent switch. For this serviceyou will need to hire a licensed electrical contractor.Veriy that there are no electrical wiring or other hiddenutilities beore cutting or drilling into any wall or ceiling.These types o ans need to be vented to the outdoors.When selecting a an location veriy that a wall stud orother structural braces do not run through the desiredlocation. Also veriy that your an will t in the desiredlocation, and that there are no exterior obstructions oroliage that will get in the way o this installation. Thean must be installed at a minimum height o 2.1 meters(7 eet) above the foor and should be placed in any loca-tion where people, especially children, could not placetheir ngers, hands, or other objects into the an. Beoreconnecting the unit to an electrical source turn o themain breaker at the service panel.

Step 1.
Scribing around the inside of the template.If your fan didn't come with a template use the fan todraw a guideline or to make your own template.
Step 2.
Using a course saw (on drywall) follow yourguideline and cut out the interior wall. If you arecutting through lath and plaster you'll need to scribethe line with a nail many times to keep the plaster fromcracking. If the plaster cracks, patch before making thefinal installation.
Step 3.
Scribing around inner duct of the fronthousing. If your fan won't let you have access to theexterior wall make a template the size needed for thefan you're installing.
Step 4.
Mark all the screw holes locations using asharp object with the fan in place and level.
Step 5.
Drill all screw holes and install togglefasteners. Use the right type of fastener for the type ofwall surface you're attaching to.Finished installation.
