VEINS OF VISIONS
I sat there in my car waiting for nothing. I waited for the blue sky to set. I waited foreverything and nothing to pass, stay by, or come to me. I had all the time in the world.But, yet, I had no time. I had to do things as fast as I could. I tried to look busy. But,really, I was bored to death. I wanted to get out of the car, run down the street, and waitfor real things. I decided to sit there and stare at this artificial world that was staringstraight back at me.I read the paper. There were stories about people who were heroes or people whowere villains. I read about the lies the government was feeding us about the war in Iraq orwherever we are fighting these days. I could smell cigarettes on the clothes of some of thekids that walked by. They were all teenagers. They were just like I was.I was fidgety and anxious. I was waiting while every moment a second passed bythat could’ve been useful or productive. Of course, I didn’t care about it. The people whowalked on passed me were saying something about a party. I zoned out and kept onreading about the political crap saying how we were winning the war on terror, when,honestly, the war on terror has always existed. Winning it is like completely getting rid of drugs or underage drinking. It will never, ever happen.At this moment, I was actually spinning at Sixty-seven thousand miles per hour.The planet I was on was spinning around a giant ball of hydrogen.
