askedhimwhenAllahAlmightywouldhelpthem;thesufferingandcrueltyhadreacheditsutmostlimits.TheProphet~satupandsaid:"0Khabbab,Areyouglvmgupsoeasilywithjusttheselittleproblems?OurpredecessorswhospokeupfortheTruthandworshippedtheTruthhadsufferedmuchmorethanus.Sawswereusedtotearthemapart,andcombsmadeofironwereusedtoraketheirflesh,buttheyremainedstubbornlyadherenttotheTruth.Thegreatesttortureandtyrannyfailedtomakethemrecantorretractaninchfromtheirpositions.0Khabbab,bepatientandverysoonyouwillseeforyourselfthegentleandhalcyondaysofpeaceeverywhere.ThelandofArabwillbecomethecradleoflovingandserenebrotherhood.FromSan'a'toHaderAI-Moatwayfarerswillbeabletotravelinpeace,withnofearofdanger."Calamities,misfortunesandproblemshavetobefacedwithpatienceandfortitudebecausetheyprovetobetheforerunnersofvictoryandsuccess.Andhowdoesoneinculcatethesequalities?TheyarebornofadeepandabidingfaithinAllahAlmighty;manyatime,becauseofthesequalities,eventswhichbewilderman'spowersofreasonandlogicoccurinthebattlefield.OneofthegreatestgeneralsinthehistoryofIslam,KhalidbinWaleed~,rightinfrontoftheenemyfearlesslyandboldlydrankupabottleofdeadlypoison.Thislethaldoseofpoisondidhimnoharm!ThiswasbecausehehadabsolutefaiththatAllahAlmightycouldnegatetheeffectofthepoison.Theenemywassimplyastounded!Anothergreatgeneral,Sa'dbinAbuWaqas~,ledhishorseintothedeepwatersoftheRiverDajlah,andcrossedover,safeandsoundtotheothersidetotheutteramazementoftheenemyPersianarmywhichwasstandingthere.HethusprovedthatifAllahAlmightyistheHelper,thennothingcanharmorinjurepeoplewhohavepureandabsolutefaithinHim.AftertheresoundingvictoryinthebattleofYarmook,thegreatGeneralKhalidbinWaleed~receivedaletterdismissinghimfromservice.Verycalmlyhesaid:
