Existing diff. pressure transmitter 11-PDIA-004 is wired to a field junction box 11JE-702 which is mounted on the ground level away from the PDI(Ref. PIX01) Similarly existing diff. pressure transmitter 11-PDIA-0045 is wired to a field junction box 11-JE-14 which is mounted on the higher level away from the PDI(Ref. PIX04)
F) FIND OUT SPARE CABLE ENTRIES AVAILABLE ON THE JB. PHOTO

In 11-JB-702 only one spare cable gland is available for one pair cable entry(Ref.PIX02). 11-JB-14 does not have any spare cable gland(Ref.PIX-04)
G) FIND OUT SPARE TERMINALS AVAILABLE TO TERMINATE 2 PAIRS CABLES FROM NEW PDIA-004A AND 004B. PHOTO.

No spare terminals are left out in both the JBs to accommodate additional two PDIA(Ref.PIX02&PIX04). The JB wiring diagram pasted inside the JB-702 is rev.B and outdated. The drawing shows terminal 31&32 are available however as per As buit Rev. C, terminals 31&32 are used to wire existing PDI-004. Thus this JB is 100% utilized and no spares are available. (Ref.PIX02 & PIX03). The JB wiring pasted on JB-14 is rev.B dated15/6/81 and outdated. All the terminals and paired cables are consumed.
H) FIND OUT SPARE PAIRS OF MULTICORE CABLE GOING TO CONTROL ROOM.

No spare pairs available in the multicore cable of both the JBs. CONCLUSION ON POINT No.1)Existing Instrument JE-702 and JE-14 cannot be used for two new PDIA-034 & 035. New ground mounted instrument junction box is proposed to accommodate new instruments. New multicore cable to be routed to the control room.
9) EXISTING PDI INSTALLATION E) CHECK MAKE /MODEL OF THE EXISTING PDI.

Rosemount make.
F) CHECK IF VALVE MANIFOLD IS INSTALLED WITH THE INSTRUMENT.PHOTO

Three valve manifold is installed with the existing transmiiters PDI-004 & 005. (Ref.PIX05).
G) CHECK IF LOCAL PDI INDICATOR TYPE. PHOTO

There is a 6inch dial liquid filled WIKA make diff pressure gauge mounted nearby transmitter to provide local reading. The impulse lines for the gauge are T off connection from the transmitter impulse lines. The gauge is installed without manifold.Similar arranagement for the additional new transmitters is recommended. (Ref.PIX06) H)
CHECK AND NOTE INSTRUMENT TAPPING POINTS ON FILTER OR IN/OUT PIPING

Instrument tapping points for PDI is above the instrument. (Liquid Service) CONCLUSION ON POINT No.2 For new PDIAs Rosemount make transmitters will be preffered. The 3 valve manifolds will be supplied by transmitter vendor factory assembled with the transmitter. Similar local gauge indication will be provided for the additional installation.
10) FOR NEW PDIA C) CHECK PROPOSED LOCATION. PHOTO

A new instrument JB will be located near one of the transmitters Similar to existing installation.
D) NOTE APPROX DISTANCE BET JB AND PROPOSED PDIA LOCATION.

About 30 meter cable is estimated between new PDIAs and new JB. CONCLUSION ON POINT No.3 Existing installation practice will be applied to the new instruments.
11) CONTROL ROOM B) REF. LOOP DIAGRAM MLNG DWG NO. BTU 20.3501, SHT NO.553&554 OF 555. OPENING OF MARSHALLING CABINETS DE-11 AND DE-20 IS REQUIRED. FIELD CABLE FROM EXISTING 11-PDI-004 IS TERMINATED AT MARSHALLING CABINET (MC) DE-20., TERMINALS A271/272. CHECK SPARE TERMINALS TO TERMINATE NEW FILTERS PDI. THE FILED CABLE FROM 11-PDI-005 IS TERMINATED AT MC DE-11. CHECK SPARE TERMINALS TO TERMINATE NEW FILTERS PDI.

We visited Superintendents control room where FAR and marshalling cabinets for the filter instruments is located. The MLNG representative could not locate the FAR key. Spare capacity in Marshalling cabinet to terminate new instrument could not determined. CONCLUSION ON POINTNo. 4 IFC submission of the loop diagrams will be with xxx numbers for the marshalling cabinet information. Drawings will be updated after next site visit.

SITE VISIT CHECKPOINT 1) To determine installation location of insertion type new pH analyzer tag No. 46QRA-002 on the neutralization pit. Take Photo 2)To check existing and possible re-location of new inline pH analyzer tag No. 46-QRA-001B.Take Photo 3) Visit existing JE-13 and estimate cable length from JE to pH analyzers, new & control valve locations. (46-QRA-001A/B and 002, CV-001A/B )-Take Photo 4)Open the JE-13 and check spare terminals, cable glands, and pairs in multipair cable going to MFS.-Take Photo. 5)If JE-13 cannot accommodate additional cables, determine new JE location and its approximate distance from field instruments and MFS.

SITE VISIT FINDINGS 1)The location for new insertion type pH sensor is determined as marked in PIX01. It is in about 600mm away from the Pit level transmitter towards pump location. 2)Existing pH analyzer sampling system and meter is located inside adjacent analyzer house. Existing pH analyzer sampling point was located. See PIC03 3)JE-13 and 12 were visited. Existing QRA-001 is wired in 32-JE-12. This JB is does not have any spare capacity to accommodate new instrument. Multicore cable going to MFS is also full. See PIX04&05 4)32-JE-13 was opened and noticed that there is no spare capacity in the box to accommodate 2 new pH analysers. 05)Both JE-12 & 13 are far away from the pit instrumentation and not in a position to take any additional instruments. We propose to install a new junction box( PIX 06)adjacent to the pit area near the existing analyser house. The additional analysers QRA-001B and QRA002 sampling and Meters are proposed to be mounted on spate walls of the existing analyser house. See PIX02. 6) There are no control valve installations around pit area. The new control valve for on off action shall be wired to new junction box and may use same multicore cable to MFS. 7)it appears prima facia that the existing QRA-001 is working. But cannot judge its pH accuracy. Addotional online pH analyser mounted nearby will provide accuracy comparison and good control on effluent discharge. 8)New pH meter one online QRA-001B will have sampling system and meter mounted within analyser shed. Aanother QRA-002 is insertion type with amplifier transmitter mounted nearby. Its pH meter will be installed inside the analyser house. See PIX01&02.

6)Check if there any control valve installation around the N. Pit. Locate its JE and possible wiring of this project 2 new CVs. 7)Find out problems associate with existing pH analyzers for its malfunction. Note its make/model- Take Photo.

8)Determine location of new pH meters and cable length from its probes.
