Aiden is visibly shaken JAKE Expect me to believe that? Come on man, its okay to be sad. Its a time to grieve. AIDEN I guess I just cant face it that shes gone. Allis gone and Ill never get her back. JAKE I know man, I know. Itll be okay. She loved you, Aiden. And shes...shes in a better place now. AIDEN Yeah, thats what everyone is telling me. Not really helping that much. Car begins to drive away. Long pause. JAKE Id never even seen her foster parents before today. AIDEN Theyre good people. I dont know how they managed with all those kids. EXT. CAR PULLS OVER, STOPS. Aiden stand alone, surrounded by sand. Looks out at waves crashing into shore. Catches sight of a girl in the distance, recignizes her. She sits in sand, near ocean AIDEN Alli? Alli?! (Screams) She does not turn around. AIDEN Alli!? She turns around. ALLI Aiden. Ive been waiting for you. AIDEN I dont understand...youre gone. Youre dead. Arent you? ALLI Aiden, take a seat with me. Aiden sits down in the sand. ALLI Do you know where we are? AIDEN Ocean City. We came here for our anniversary last year. ALLI Correct. AIDEN Am I dreaming all of this? ALLI It isnt a dream. AIDEN Then what is it? I know youre not alive. He runs towards her.

Aiden walks to car but notices old basketball net across the street. AIDEN Hey guys, remember shooting on that net. RICH Yeah, that things seen better days. AIDEN Kind of a shame to look at now. JAKE Well, everything falls apart eventually. Lets go. They pile into Jakes car and the engine fires on. Car drives away. EXT. BASKETBALL COURT, AFTERNOON Car pulls up and they get out. RICH Lets just shoot around a little first. Rich takes a shot at the net, and then Jake does the same. Eventually, all four take shots. MIKE Feeling any better? AIDEN Eh, a little bit. Had some crazy dreams last night. JAKE Woah, Jess just texted me. MIKE Whatd she say? JAKE Mr. Collins. He was murdered last night. RICH Mr. Collins, math teacher Mr. Collins?

JAKE Thats him. MIKE Damn thats crazy. Do they know what happened yet? JAKE Ill give her a call and find out. Jake calls JESS MYERS as the others continue to shoot around. AIDEN Mr. Collins was so young. MIKE He was done teaching too. Was going to work in the government or something. They continue to dribble and shoot when Jakes comes back. JAKE Jess said that its all over the news now. They say someone broke into his home late last night and stabbed him to death. RICH Thats terrible, I cant believe it. MIKE Hopefully they find the killer soon. Camera pans to Aiden as they continue to shoot around. EXT. OUTSIDE OF AIDENS HOUSE, DUSK Aiden gets out of Jakes car and walks towards his front door. Waves back at everyone in car as it drives off. INT. AIDENS HOUSE Aiden goes about the rest of his day alone in montage. Eating, playig games. Miserable Aiden walks into his room and moves around the clothes in his room. Stumbles upon a knife covered in blood. (CONTINUED)

Gasps in horror and throws clothes on top of the knife. Now firmly believes he must have killed Mr. Collins. Passes out/falls asleep. EXT. LAKE, BRIGHT SUNNY DAY ALLI Its good to see you again. AIDEN Whats going on here? ALLI What do you mean? AIDEN You know what I mean. Mr Collins, the math teacher from the high school, is dead. I woke up this morning with blood on my hands. And found a knife in my room. ALLI Yes, I know. AIDEN So what the hell is going on? ALLI You already know. You killed him. AIDEN I didnt! ALLI You did. It was what you were supposed to do. AIDEN What did Mr. Collins have to do with any of this? Why did he have to die? Alli picks up a stone and walks towards the lake. She tosses the stone into the water. ALLI Small changes can have incredible effects on later events. This small stone is creating ripples across this entire lake. Just as your actions, while seemingly insignificant, will yield major ramifications in the future. AIDEN What does it all mean? ALLI You are the stone. INT. AIDENS ROOM, MORNING Aidens alarm goes off. His face wears a look of horror. INT. AIDENS LIVING ROOM Aiden is sitting at couch playing video games. Jake, Jess, and Mike walk into the room. AIDEN Hey, just take a seat. Just playing some Call of Duty. JESS Hey Aiden, how are you. AIDEN Im good, Im good (staying focused on TV) JAKE Dont you have work today? AIDEN I do. Er, I would have. Camera focused on ball as it is hit. Jake and Aiden are hitting golf balls and talking. JAKE So youre feeling better now? You were acting pretty weird when we came over on Wednesday. AIDEN Yeah. Well, kind of. I dont know. I need some kind of help or something. I cant stop thinking about Alli. I keep looking at old pictures. Or going on her facebook page. JAKE Youre doing so well though, Aiden. Its natural to still feel like this. Not much time has passed, man. AIDEN Jake, look. Youre my oldest friend. Mike darts out of the room, Aiden chases him feverishly. As Mike runs down the stairs to front door, Aiden pulls out a gun and fires at Mike, shooting out his knees. Mike howls in pain. Aiden then walks over to Mike and pulls him down into basement/living room.

EXT. MIKES CAR RICH Did you hear that? JESS Yeah, I did...it sounded like(panicked) RICH A gunshot. JESS Was it? I dont know. What do we do? RICH Im going in there. JESS Rich, dont. Aiden is shocked as he looks on at Richs body. He turns to Alli. AIDEN Did youALLI Make you kill him? No. I didnt. MIKE Who are you talking to? Aiden kneels near Rich and looks at him. Shocked and saddened. Mike steahthily brings out his phone and begins to compose a text. MIKE You go around killing your friends now!? AIDEN Shut up! Shut the hell up!I didnt mean to kill him. Shes in his car out front. AIDEN So it went to Jess? Did it? Youve served your purpose. Aiden takes his pistol and smacks Mike, knocking him out. ALLI Youre going to leave him like that? AIDEN Yeah. You even said he wasnt a target of yours. ALLI When he awakes he will expose you to the authorities. Keeping him alive now jeopardizes your own survival. EXT. STREET, NIGHT Mikes car begins to drive off. Aiden steps out of his house and reaches his arm towards the car. Face shows extreme focus. Car engine stops. INT. MIKES CAR Jess struggles to restart engine but it does not work. EXT. STREET, NIGHT Aiden walks over, concealing his pistol. AIDEN Jess! Jess get out of the car. Remember the fields there we used to play in? JESS Hell know not to go. AIDEN Im texting from your phone. I told him you left my house but Mikes car broke down and you pulled over in the woods. Sun begins to break through dark sky as Aiden drives Mikes car with Jess restrained in passenger seat. EXT. WOODS Aiden pulls over and gets out of the car, bringing Jess deeper into the woods with him. AIDEN Remember this place? JESS How could I forget. We used to come here all of the time as kids. Do you remember going on those swings with Jake? AIDEN Stop. JESS You know you cant do this. AIDEN Im only doing what I have to do. Jake runs towards Jess and kisses her on the lips. Alli is shown smiling and looking very satisfied. Aiden fires a shot in the air. AIDEN Back away from her! Now! Aiden points his gun at Jake and Jake slowly steps back. JAKE Aiden, what do you want? Are you okay? I know youre suffering from illness, mentalAIDEN Im not sick Jake. My mind is healthy. BEACH, BRIGHT SUNNY DAY Jake stand alone, surrounded by sand. Looks out at waves crashing into shore. Catches sight of a girl in the distance, recignizes her. She sits in sand, along near ocean JAKE Jess!? Jess! (Screams) She does not turn around. JAKE Jess? She turns around. JESS Jake. Ive been waiting for you. CUT TO BLACK He runs towards her.
